I’m soon coming to the end of my stay in Perth. I’ve been around the city and surrounding area and had a fun few days exploring with friends as I prepare for this wedding. By the time this blog post goes up the wedding will be done and I’ll be on my way to the east coast to visit Sydney and the Gold Coast.
I’ve really enjoyed this city and what it has to offer. I love harmonious juxtaposition in a city and Perth is full of it. There is a beautiful mixture of modern architecture in the sky scrapers and traditional facades in the historic buildings. Lots of green space around to give you a break from the hustle and bustle. Business men, families and tourists walking side by side down the streets.
I’m still really just learning how to balance street photography with the hustle and bustle of my life. Walking through the city with friends and taking the time to take it in, enjoy it and keep and eye out and a quick shutter finger ready for those moments that are too good to pass by.
But if I have a lot to learn, what joy to be taught in places such as these.
Lastly, here is a shot that doesn’t really fit but is too cool not to share. It’s where street photography meets wildlife. When you are walking along the road and you come across wild kangaroos you really can’t help but stop, look and try and get as close as you can without scaring them off.
